Tour Description

A snow-capped mountain in the Vilcabamba Mountain Range, considered one of the main Apus (sacred protective mountains) of Cusco. Salkantay is a trekking destination of intermediate difficulty crossing from Mollepata to the edge of the jungle, passing Humantay Lake and other natural landscapes.

Itinerario 5 días

Day 1

  • Journey to Soraypampa.
  • Hike to Humantay Lake.
  • Camp.

Day 2

  • Ascent to Salkantay Pass.
  • Descent to Chaullay.

Day 3

  • Hike through the cloud forest.
  • Arrival in Santa Teresa.

Day 4

  • Route to Hydroelectric station and walk to Aguas Calientes.

Day 5

  • Visit to Machupichu.
  • Return to Cusco.
